Making Silk Bowls from Silk Fibres with Carolyn Sinclair

Our workshop on 22 February was given by Carolyn Sinclair, accompanied by her friend Pam.
Ten of us met at Goodworth Clatford Village Club, armed with sewing machines and packed lunches, ready to enjoy a relaxing and inspiring day.

Carolyn started by going over the techniques involved and gave us a short explanation on the type of silk we would be using. She showed us how to get started and then we were off! We all completed a silk bowl, which we painted in a variety of colour combinations. The end results were delightful.
During the afternoon, some of us had time to work on a second bowl, giving us the opportunity to experiment with shape and design.
Thank you Carolyn for a super workshop, we all learnt a great deal, had fun and really appreciated your relaxed approach and encouragement.
