September Meeting and Workshop 2015

Our September evening meeting gave us all an opportunity to get together after the summer break. Having paid our subs, we then settled down to a pleasant evening of catching up on each other's news and making embroidered fireworks, as part of the library display for November.

Rockets and roman candle production was soon underway, although we didn't manage to finish them on the night, so when we meet again in October, the hall will be glittering with our handiwork. Of course, the evening would not have been complete without a couple of Eleanor's quizzes!

On Saturday 26 September we had an in-house workshop, run by Helen. Again it was a great opportunity to work together and chat! Helen had brought along some designs to work with and left it to our imagination as to how we used them. Most of us made book covers for the travelling books we have been working on, although Chris's rocket was nearly ready to be sent skywards!

Many thanks Helen, for organising a lovely day. It was great fun to work with friends in such a relaxed atmosphere.
