Needle Lace with Carol Hughes

There's no nicer way of spending a cold wintry day than sewing with friends. On Saturday 20 February 2016 we met at Goodworth Clatford Village Club to do just that!

We were introduced to the amazing and intricate world of needle lace by Carol Hughes, a very experienced and enthusiastic tutor, and spent a very enjoyable day learning the basic stitches.
Carol brought along some of her beautiful work to inspire us and gave us some very useful notes to guide us through the processes.

With such detailed stitching, progress was  slow, but we all managed to stitch two wings of a butterfly, with Carol explaining how to complete the body and antenna. Hopefully we will find time to finish them before our next meeting.

Many thanks Carol, for a super day. We all accomplished a great deal and had a very enjoyable time in the process.
