Capability Brown Exhibition at Hillier Gardens, Romsey

Andover EG is being joined by Winchester EG, Salisbury EG and Solent EG to create the exhibition of work, with inspiration coming from Capability Brown's genius and Hillier Gardens. It is an opportunity to see a display of unique and specially created work based around the typically English scene of landscapes and stately gardens.

Below are two examples of work created by Andover EG that will be on display at the exhibition.
Underfoot - Sue Oakham
(This piece was made following a visit to Hilliers in early January, when leaves were still lying around. I spotted a fallen visitor sticker in amongst them and idea was born. The leaves are made using free machining on polyester organza and then burning back after wiring.)

Willow View - Cindy Rose
(Painted on fine silk and mainly free machine work. Calico used behind silk and free stitched in black thread.)
